Legend of the Sunken Bell

On Christmas afternoon, December 25, one of the most beautiful legends of Bled comes to life on Lake Bled. The famous legend of the wishing bell will be reenacted with divers from the Bled Society for Underwater Activities. This centuries-old tale tells of a widow who had a bell cast in memory of her murdered husband, but it sank during a storm. The Pope later declared that anyone who rings the bell three times and believes in God will have their wish come true.
